Freddie’s development update – 9 months…

This month Freddie has grown in strength and character, he is such an amazingly smily little boy with such determination.

Teething – Freddie has 2 new teeth this month, they are his top middle teeth and they are half way through

Eating – Freddie is still eating anything and almost everything (still doesn’t like banana’s). He still has a very good appetite and has 3 meals a day plus healthy snacks. Freddie did go off his food and water when he was ill but we soon noticed an improvement just a day after the antibiotics started. Freddie loves his water which I’m so pleased about.

Favourite food – This month due to Freddie being ill it has been cold foods such as dairy free yogurt, fruit pots and jelly that he has enjoyed.  He also tried ice cream for the first time this month which he loves, but has only had twice so far.

Milk – Freddie pretty much only has 8oz in the morning, 3oz with his porridge and 8oz before bed. On the days I work Freddie has an extra 6oz  bottle as he has his tea later.

Clothes – Currently still in 6-9month clothes however they are getting a bit short and tight! We have got a full summer wardrobe ready for Freddie so we don’t want to be buying new winter stuff, therefore just making do for the next few weeks. I mean he doesn’t look stupid just snug.

Movement – Freddie never stops surprising me with his development, he is so strong. He is now sofa surfing and walking round the coffee table, I’m not sure it will be long before he is up on his feet. Freddie’s crawling has got a lot quicker and he is pulling himself up on things with just his arm strength. I’m so excited for him to walk and am preparing myself to be even more on my feet too.

Freddie has also started waving hi and bye which is just the cutest thing!

Hair – His hair is still slowly growing and more curls are forming but there is no dramatic change there

Allergy – we are finding more foods that Freddie can eat which makes me happy as I don’t want him to get bored of the same flavours. We have a few months until we can start introducing baked protein.

Words – Freddie now says:-

  • Mumma
  • Dadda
  • Nanna
  • Cat
  • Dog
  • Ta
  • Hiya

Sleeping – Freddie’s sleep is still perfect he still gets 12 hours at night, however his naps have reduced to 2 times a day at 9:00am and 2:00pm

Attitude – I know most parents are bias about their children but Freddie really is one of the smiliest babies I know. He is such a good boy and unless he is hungry or tired we don’t have much issues.

New favourite things to do – Freddie loves playing with balls this month and gets so excited when dadda chases him.

We have had an amazing month of going to the zoo, the barn, family events, parks, toddler groups, outdoors time and seeing Freddie experience new things, learning new words, being so inquisitive is just perfect.

I was so proud of how Freddie took being ill, the hospital and all the medicine he had to have!

My poorly boy at the walk in centre before being referred to the doctors then hospital.

I hope you have all had a lovely month and if you have a little one make sure your taking in all these little developments because they grow so quick.

Much loveage Loz x
